Volgograd took part in the 12th Executive Conference of "Mayors for Peace"

On July 7, the Executive Cities of the "Mayors for Peace" international organization met online to adopt the new Campaign and the new Action Plan to work upon until 2025. One of the meeting's participants was Volgograd – a "Mayors for Peace" member since 1983, its Vice-President and Lead City in Russia.

A joint project by Volgograd and Coventry won a presidential grant

On July 1, 2021, the international project "Digital Tablecloth 'Volgograd - Coventry' - 80 Years of Mutual Support" was launched, having previously become one of the winners of the competition by the Presidential Grants Foundation. Its authors are the project team of the "Lidery Peremen" NGO led by Natalia Oreshkina, and its goal is to develop public diplomacy and support Russian compatriots abroad.

Information about our city's twinning relations and international awards, as well as about major events taking place in Volgograd territory, has appeared on the pages of the book "Development of International Intermunicipal Cooperation in the Russian Federation and the Eurasian countries", edited and published by the Eurasian section of the "United Cities and Local Governments" World Organization.

Victory Concert – a joint musical project by sister-cities

In June 2021, musicians from Volgograd and its sister and partner-cities in China and Germany held a joint online-concert – the Victory Concert! The colorful video was put together and edited by the experts from Volgograd Municipal Television and the city administration.
