Coventry Street renovations on their way: a historical staircase will be restored in Volgograd

The granite staircase in the down end of Coventry Street will be renovated along with the rest of the embankment. As the Mayor of Volgograd Vladimir Marchenko promised on February 19, the respective works will start as soon as the construction workers have it finished with the amphitheater and the pedestrian bridge.

The Fraktalwerk Art Team from Chemnitz is inviting Volgograd photographers to the international photo challenge in the context of their project "Gestures as Mediators between Cultures". The theme is "Messages of Angels". The best 5-10 photos will be exhibited as prints in Fraktalwerk exhibitions as part of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, probably for the first time in July 2022.
