Volgograd’s experience is featured in the textbook on intercity cooperation
Information about our city's twinning relations and international awards, as well as about major events taking place in Volgograd territory, has appeared on the pages of the book "Development of International Intermunicipal Cooperation in the Russian Federation and the Eurasian countries", edited and published by the Eurasian section of the "United Cities and Local Governments" World Organization.
Let us be reminded that UCLG is a global network of municipalities, metropolises and regions established to strengthen the role of local and regional authorities in the global decision-making process and currently recognized as one of the UN's main partners in working with local governments.
The volume contains materials on the development of international relations between the cities of Russia and Eurasia, information on their structural subdivisions in charge of external relations, their city leaders, the cities' membership in international organizations, several interesting facts about the cities-members of the Eurasia UCLG, as well as general information on the existing associations of local authorities.
Among those who may find this book useful and interesting, there are city mayors, their international relations departments, and the other structural divisions of city administrations engaged in the development of international inter-municipal relations.
