Volgograd's "Volzhanochka" Dance Company Wins Prizes in Belarusian Partner-City

Our young dancers returned victorious from Vitebsk, Belarus. From January 8 to 10, 2026, the dance company of the Volgograd Municipal Budgetary Institution of Additional Education, the "Volzhanochka" Children's Choreography School, performed brilliantly at the 7th International Festival-Competition "Art Parade in Vitebsk," winning both the First Place Laureate title and the Audience Choice Award.

The VSSPU Center for People's Diplomacy organized a lecture for Chinese students about the Battle of Stalingrad

Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University (VSSPU) hosted a meeting with international students from China as part of Russian History Week. The event, timed to coincide with Heroes of the Motherland Day, was organized by the VSSPU Center for People's Diplomacy in collaboration with the Confucius Institute and with the support of the city administration.

Volgograd schoolchildren took on the roles of the "Big Three."

On September 12, 2025, a Historical and Diplomatic Game "The Yalta Conference of 1945" was held in Volgograd. Schoolchildren from the Central, Voroshilovsky, Dzerzhinsky, and Sovetsky districts were assigned the key roles in this historic event: they were to act like the heads of the USSR, the USA, and Great Britain, their secretaries, foreign ministers, and military commanders-in-chief. The main task was to successfully negotiate a new post-war world order.

A report on Volgograd Post No. 1 will be shown in France

On November 14, 2025, Post No. 1 at the Fallen Fighters' Square in the hero city of Volgograd celebrated a significant anniversary: 60 years since the first schoolchildren stood guard at its Eternal Flame. It was on November 14, 1965, that students from 7th grade of School No. 9 (currently Gymnasium No. 3 of the Central District) marched to their posts from the hall of the Gorky Drama Theater, following a real soldier. They were not wearing their trademark uniform at that time, but carried training carbines instead.

School of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Children and Youth Center

Volgograd is truly THE capital of people's diplomacy. We even have a diplomat-training school for teens!

The School of International Relations and Diplomacy is a comprehensive program of extracurricular education taught at the platform of Volgograd Children and Youth Center since September 2021.

Over 1,000 works from 5 countries: winners of the international competition were awarded in Volgograd

Today, Volgograd Regional Children's Art Gallery hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the International Competition “About Myself and the World.” It was a real challenge for the jury to select the best of the best, as nearly 1,000 drawings and works of decorative art from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, and Transnistria had been submitted.

Journey into the World of Artists: Through the Eyes of Children from Volgograd and Its Sister-Cities

An unusual art exhibition is currently being held in Volgograd. There, at it, the main art critics and creators are children from different countries. Volgograd Regional Children Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition based on the results of the international competition "About Myself and the World. In an Artist's Workshop." Among its participants are also children from Volgograd's sister-cities: Chinese Jilin, Qujing and Chengdu, Belarusian Vitebsk, and Tiraspol.

An expert session was held at VSSPU about the role of youth in public diplomacy

The expert session "The Role of Youth in Public Diplomacy" was held on September 4, 2025, at the platform of Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University as part of the International Forum of People's Diplomacy "Dialogue on the Volga: Peace and Mutual Understanding in the 21st Century". The event brought together public officials, the student community, and Volgograd schoolchildren.
