In 2014, the UN General Assembly designated October 31 as the World Cities Day. Since then, all people's diplomacy forums in Volgograd have been timed to coincide to this date.

The Forum of 2014 featured:

• over 100 speakers from 7 countries;
• 3 round tables;
• the Resolution – to make Volgograd twin-cities forum an annual event.
