The Young Historian's II International School started in Volgograd

For more than 10 years, this school has been held on the platform of Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University (VSSPU), and the second year it also has the status of an international one. This time, 7 cities of Russia, scientists and young researchers from Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus, as well as foreign students of Volgograd universities from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, China, Haiti, Nigeria, Kenya, Mauritania, Eswatini, Mali, Egypt and the other states. In total, there were more than 150 people!

Volgograd Municipal TV reporter became a laureate of the International Media Competition

The 11th International Competition "A City Reflected in Its Media" was organized by the International Assembly of Capitals and Large Cities of the CIS (IAC), of which Volgograd is a member. After a thorough consideration, a 2nd degree diploma in the nomination "We remember and take pride" was awarded to Darya Solovieva, a reporter at Volgograd Information Agency, for her entry under the name "The people who gave their names to the streets in Volgograd's Sovietsky district."

A memorial plaque in honor of the Stalingrad Victory was opened in Valencia

The plaque was installed on the central square of the Venezuelan city of Valencia on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad – a historical event celebrated by the whole world.

A youth center in Novosibirsk made a video about the 80th anniversary of the Stalingrad victory

Out of 20 Siberian divisions that were defended our city in 1942-1943, five were formed in the city of Novosibirsk, and 200 thousand Siberian soldiers sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Stalingrad. To honor the memory of their heroic compatriots and Stalingrad defenders in general, the media professionals of the "Тымолод.рф" youth information portal compiled a video dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet troops over the Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Volgograd residents and guests paid tribute to the memory of Stalingrad defenders

The festive events dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad were held in Volgograd on February 1 and 2. They started with a solemn wreath laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame, which marks the Common Grave of the defenders of the Red Tsaritsyn and the soldiers of the 62nd and 64th Armies who died defending Stalingrad. Volgograd Mayor Vladimir Marchenko led the procession of Volgograd residents and guests laying scarlet carnations at the memorial.
