​Little painters from Izmir were awarded certificates of merit at the "Volgograd: a City of Warm Vibes" International Children Art Competition organized by Volgograd Regional Children Art Gallery and dedicated to Volgograd's sister and partner-cities.

A Deputy Mayor of Izmir took part in the International Forum of People's Diplomacy "Dialogue on the Volga: Peace and Mutual Understanding in the 21st Century" and became an expert at the round table dedicated to intercity cooperation.

In November 2021, Izmir organized an international flash mob to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. 26 women representing their local governments, academic and business communities, contributed to the recording of a video message, calling upon everyone to make an input to the struggle for a safe and happy future for women. Volgograd in the video was represented by Ms. Valeriya Vorobieva, Chair of the Committee for the organization of public events and cooperation with law enforcement agencies, Volgograd administration.
