Across the Atlantic Ocean, another plaque was installed in honor of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad.

"In gratitude for your solidarity with the Soviet people in the fight against Nazism. From Stalingrad to Valencia on the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad," reads the plaque. It was made by Volgograd State University within the frame of a project supported by the Russian Embassy in Nicaragua, the "Rossutrudnichestvo" Federal Agency and the Bering-Bellingshausen Institute – and installed on the "Square of Cultures" of National Autonomous University of Nicaragua.

The solemn event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad was held in the Nicaraguan capital on March 14, 2023. According to the "Stalingrad Battle" panorama museum, installation of the memorial plaque decorated with the image of the "Motherland is Calling!" statue was the center part of the day.

The list of speakers during the official part of the ceremony featured the Ambassador of Russia, representatives of Nicaragua and Volgograd. Later, the event's participants were invited to visit the photo-documentary exhibition "Stalingrad 1942-1943. A symbol of courage and heroism", provided to the Russian House by the "Stalingrad Battle" panorama museum, and to watch a documentary film about the outstanding battle.
