What an amazing battle!Do you know what the performance is? Yes, martial arts! In foreign countries, Chinese martial arts are called "kung fu". Whether it is "martial art" or "kung fu", they are actually different names for Chinese martial arts. For a long time, the martial arts culture of kung Fu has become a window for people around the world to learn about Chinese culture. Many people fall in love with kung fu and eventually fall in love with China. Would you like to know more about Chinese Kung Fu? Let's find out!

Types of martial arts

Whether it is the "six arts" recorded in the literary works "Rites of Zhou", which only ancient nobles could learn, or the appearance of fine weapons such as spear, dagger-axe, halberd, axe, tomahawk, blade and sword, or movies and television works such as "The Grandmaster", "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Yip Man", we can see different types of martial arts.

At present, there are numerous martial arts disciplines, which can be roughly divided into three categories: set sports, Kungfu sports, and combat sports, possessing 129 types. No matter what type of martial arts, they are all designed to strengthen the body and cultivate the mind.

Kungfu Demonstration

Next, we will perform a section of Kung Fu, which shows 5 kinds of animals. You can have a guess: What animals are mentioned according to the gestures?

In fact, the demonstration just now is from the Chinese intangible cultural heritage "Wuqinxi", which means Five Animals Exercise. It was created by Hua Tuo, a famous doctor in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, following the example of the majesty of the tiger, the comfort of the deer, the composure of the bear, the dexterity of the ape, and the lightness of the bird, to create a set of martial arts fitness methods to achieve the effect of "external movement and internal stillness, stillness in movement, both movement and stillness, rigidity and flexibility in combination, internal and external training in combination".
