"The Russian and Chinese Folk Arts in Volgograd and Chengdu" – an online project
Russia is world famous for its ballet, and China – for its opera. Volgograd and Chengdu both have several major theaters and concert halls in its territory, which are popular with audiences of all ages. The students of our cities are ready to tell you about their favorite stage productions!
Volgograd and Chengdu school students are getting ready to celebrate their cultural heritage in a series of presentations!
The new project will bring together 4 schools:
- Volgograd Gymnasium No. 3 of the Central District,
- Volgograd Gymnasium No. 5 of the Voroshilovsky District,
- Yucai Middle School Attached to Chengdu No.7 Middle School Xuedao Campus,
- Zhuojin Branch of Chengdu Yandao Street Primary School.
Together, they will make 12 Power Point Presentations dedicated to the intangible heritage of Russia or China – dances, crafts, clothes, art, songs, toys...
The project will culminate in a videoconference between the participants, where they will have a chance to see each other face-to-face, demonstrate the best presentations, and, maybe, even do a music performance.
Meanwhile, we will be publishing the participants' works in the Russian language in our social networks, and their translation into English – on this very website "Volgograd, the Capital of People's Diplomacy".
