Holocaust Remembrance Day
Holocaust Remembrance Day was designated by the United Nations in 2005. This is the day on which we do not only pay tribute to the victims of fascism and Nazism, but also rise against any its manifestations today.
Speaking about it, we cannot but mention an exhibition "Stalingrad Star of David" created last year by the Institute for Regional Economy and Social Design in partnership with the "Stalingrad Battle" panorama museum.
The exhibition, prepared with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation, was dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad and its heroic participants of Jewish origin. Did you know, for example, that in the tank corps of the 2nd Guards Army of General Jacob Kreiser alone, there were 1.3 thousand Jewish soldiers? And yet, apart from the soldiers, there were prominent journalists, photographers (including those whose materials made it to the museum's collection), painters, military engineers and medics…
In December 2021, the exhibition was demonstrated in the Netanya Cultural Center in Israel, and then moved to the Netanya City Hall and to Tel Aviv.
