Starting from the earliest of them…

In May 2021, Children and Student Choirs of Chengdu took part in the online musical event "Victory Concert". The Children Choir performed the song "When Spring Breeze Knocks on the Door" about the victory over the pandemic. The Student Choir sang "Defend the Yellow River" dedicated to the War of Resistance against the Japanese Aggression. We would like to particularly thank Volgograd Municipal TV for the splendid editing of the event.

In the summer of 2021, Volgograd and Chengdu students recorded a series of videos dedicated to the unusual statues and buildings in their cities, thus allowing all spectators to go on a cross-cultural journey without even leaving their houses. We express our gratitude to the schools that participated in this exchange: Volgograd Gymnasium No. 3 of the Central District of Volgograd and the Yucai School of Chengdu (Xuedao Campus).

In August 2021, Chengdu's youth team took part in the International Youth Conference for Peace in the Future held online on Volgograd's platform. Our gratitude goes to the experts who delivered their lectures in front of the experts: from the "Stalingrad Battle" panorama museum, Volgograd State Agrarian University and the Volgograd Regional Youth Library.

In September 2021, young artists from Chengdu were awarded certificates of the International children art contest "Volgograd: a city of Warm Vibes" organized by the Volgograd Regional Children Art Gallery, dedicated to our sister-cities and cooperation between them. We thank the Gallery for interesting annual projects!

In October 2021, a joint choir and the "Viva la Musica" chamber orchestra of the Volgograd Art School No.2 took part in the online  International Music Week of Children Choirs in Chengdu by singing "Volgograd" and "Song about the Motherland Far Away". We are grateful to the young artists and their teachers!

Chengdu experts took part in the International Forum of People's Diplomacy "Dialogue on the Volga: Peace and Mutual Understanding in the 21^st Century" and delivered a report on the Chinese-Russian round table. Words of thanks go to its co-organizers: the Union of Russian Cities and the Chinese International Friendship Cities Association.

We have no doubt that the future will grant to Volgograd and Chengdu many more joint initiatives and projects.
