Chronicles of the International Youth Conference for Peace in the Future 2021 – Ecology Day
On August 11, the IYCPF 2021 had its fifth general meeting. Its participants got to meet an expert from Volgograd State Agrarian University, discuss the basics of ecological thinking and obtain a quiz about Volgograd.
Today's guest of honor was Ms. Irina Guschina – Senior Lecturer at the Chair of Ecology and Environmental Economics, Deputy Dean of the Ecology and Melioration Department of Volgograd State Agrarian University, and member of the Council on Ecology at Volgograd regional Council of People's Deputies.
Let's say you decided to organize – in your school or university – a campaign dedicated to ecological thinking. Very soon, you will notice that its planning includes a whole lot of small by significant moments:
- attracting participants,
- planning the events that can vividly demonstrate the usefulness of this campaign;
- making sure that they do not interfere with the schedule of exam sessions and holidays;
- finding resources or those who can help with them;
- making sure that people learn…
All these questions and many others were featured in the presentation by Ms. Irina Guschina. As the listeners quickly realized, the same advice can be applied to planning any other major initiative!
Having discussed the lecture and the way the pandemic had influenced ecological situation in the world, the IYCPF participants talked about what each of them can do to help the planet. See their ideas on the slides!
Next time, we will see each other on August 13.
