Chronicles of the International Youth Conference for Peace in the Future 2021 – Outreach Day

On August 9, the IYCPF 2021 had its fourth general meeting. On its agenda, we had a lecture by an expert on youth-oriented events, a discussion dedicated to the eventual communique and teams' independent projects, as well as a warming-up session for the future Concert of National Cultures.

There is a stereotype that a library is a place where you can only find books and silence. However, it is in the libraries that numerous most interesting youth-oriented events are currently held, including those aimed at peace promotion.

Therefore, an honorary guest of the meeting was Stan Bergher from Volgograd regional library for young adults, with a lecture on how to organize a youth-oriented event correctly – that is, to make it useful, interesting and fun!

Let us be reminded that, after the conference, its participants will plan and make flash mobs all by themselves, as well as work on a joint Peace Communique. The two discussion questions served this goal exactly:

- Hidden privileges: what are the things we are enjoying just because there is no war?

- What life hacks given by the expert can be used for the final flash mob?

The next meeting is scheduled for August 11.
