Volgograd as it is seen by a creative quartet from VIM, RANEPA branch

Today, we introduce to you the new participants from the "Nostalgia Tourist" Russian-German project, who had united into a large creative group. Meet the first-year students – Elina Kalmykova, Irina Riabova, Sabrina Mohammad Omar and Semen Samarin.

Our today's heroes had spent nearly the whole year at home and are fed up with distance learning. Now, they firmly intend to participate in all possible competitions and try their hand at everything new!

Elina's most versatile interests allow her to pursue several hobbies at once. Currently, she stands at volleyball, foreign languages and drawing.

Sabrina makes an emphasis on artistic pastimes: she loves drawing, dancing and reading.

Irina spends almost all her time learning, but in the rare spare minutes indulges in embroidery, reading and drawing.

The video of such a talented team had to be a work of art as well: "For everyone, Volgograd is a city where all sights are somehow related to war. The Planetarium is directly connected with Germany, so we thought we absolutely had to mention it. The Peace Street is a place with unique atmosphere, a place that is so good for walking. And the Embankment – well, it is Volgograd's signature landmark, so we could not leave it out."

What reasoning would you use to persuade foreign friends to visit Volgograd?

"Abroad, our city is famous primarily as a place where one of the most important battles of World War II took place. Still, apart from historical sights, war-related landmarks and museums, our city has so many interesting and beautiful places to see! To fully understand the history of our city, you definitely need to visit them as well, and to do it, you have to come to Volgograd and see everything with your own eyes!

If you had one day in a completely unfamiliar city, where would you go, or what would you do first?

"Most probably, we would first try to get acquainted with the residents of this city, so that we could ask them to tell about the most interesting places and landmarks or even show us around. We would take a walk to the center of this city and enjoy this day to its fullest, as much as possible".

The video made by the four groupmates Elina Kalmykova, Irina Riabova, Sabrina Mohammad Omar and Semen Samarin (who thank VadimUshKa and BlinkovFPV for their support) can be found on YouTube:
