Volgograd tour from and by Diana Fomina (VIM, RANEPA branch)
Diana's passion is foreign languages. The love for linguistic studies has come to the young lady naturally, and now she cannot even imagine her life without them.
Diana's video is dedicated to Volgograd sights and places connected with the Cossack history and culture. Cossack blood runs in Diana's family, and her whole childhood had been filled with her grandfather's stories about their daily life and traditions.
What reasoning would you use to persuade foreign friends to visit Volgograd?
Diana Fomina: The history of our city is very rich and interesting. Apart from the most famous and obvious sights, I would suggest you go to see some others, which are just as mysterious and full of memories, too. If you immerse deep enough in the exploration of our town, you will never truly wish to resurface.
If you had one day in a completely unfamiliar city, where would you go, or what would you do first?
Diana Fomina: In an unfamiliar city, I would simply ask the first person available what his or her favorite place in the city is, and then go straight to there. If I need to immerse in exploring a new city, I want to do it through the eyes of the locals.
