In our new article on the topic of "Nostalgia Tourist", we would like to introduce to you the next video maker – Pavel Bulychev, a second-year student of the Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch.

In our new article on the topic of "Nostalgia Tourist", we would like to introduce to you the next video maker – Pavel Bulychev, a second-year student of the Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch.

Pavel is in love with his area of studies and wants to be a top student, but still manages to find the time to indulge in numerous sports (swimming, boxing, rugby), study the English language (for example, he only watches English TV-series with subtitles) and world history.

Not surprisingly, the sights he chose for the video are exactly the ones that best reflect the history of our city: Panorama museum, Pavlov House, Mamay Hill and the Planetarium. "In childhood, I loved going there to listen about their history and the events they are connected with", comments Pavel.

What reasoning would you use to persuade foreign friends to visit Volgograd?

Pavel Bulychev: Volgograd is a city that everyone should visit during their journey through Russia. It is a city with the richest history, where every piece of land has a special story from the past. In addition, there are many events organized in our city to demonstrate the Russian culture and its ingenuity. And the people in Volgograd are very kind and ready to offer their help to everyone who needs it. Geographically, our city is mostly situated on the Volga River, which is one of the longest in the planet.

Now imagine yourself a tourist: let's say you have one day in a completely unfamiliar city. Where would you go, or what would you do first?

Pavel Bulychev: To start with, I would like to taste the local cuisine. Firstly, I would be fresh from the train or whatever, and so I would need lots of strength to go touring around the city. Secondly, I have always been fascinated by the national dishes from different countries. After all, it is regular everyday food that can best demonstrate the peculiarities of the entire cuisine, and consequently, of the whole country.
