The “Peaceful Towns” competition gathered more than 3 thousand drawings from all over the world
Out of 3,122 drawings, the “Mayors for Peace” member cities had independently chosen 466 best works in 2 age categories.
12 prizes and one “Mayors for Peace” President’s Award were distributed among them by a competent jury from Japan – a country famous for its ingenious artists, manga creators and painters.
Let us be reminded that the drawing that receives the President’s Award will consequently be printed on the
organization’s plastic folders to be distributed at her official events during the whole consecutive year.
The previous competitions were a triumph for Russian and Volgograd participants alike. In 2018, the “Mayors for Peace” President’s Award went to an artist from
Krasnodar, and in 2019, 2 second prizes were awarded to
Volgograd participants.
This time, though, the majority of the award stand is taken by the artists from
Iran and Japan (5 and 4 prizes respectively), thirded and concluded by Germany and Vietnam (2 and 1 winners).
While the complete list of winners can be accessed on the Mayors for Peace
official website you can see the drawings by Volgograd participants right here below!
We are proud of the talented artists from our city and thankful for splendid works they have submitted. Therefore, we close with the sincerest wishes for their future success.
