A small municipality in the territory of the Metropolitan City of Rome, Olevano Romano, nevertheless, is famous among the artists and photographers from all over the world – due to its captivatingly beautiful nature. There is no wonder that the one of the city’s main attractions is its Art Museum.
 
The agreement on twinning between Volgograd and Olevano Romano was signed in 2011. Since that time, painters of different ages from both cities have taken part in the “Friendship without borders” poster competition, exchange projects and open-airs, and the “Hello, it’s me!” children drawing competition.
 
In 2012, the artists and museum representatives from Volgograd and Olevano Romano met at the premise of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Rome for a celebratory ceremony, during which Volgograd Regional Fine Arts Museum and Olevano Romano City Museum exchanged the pictures painted for the event by their local artists.
