Journey into the World of Artists: Through the Eyes of Children from Volgograd and Its Sister-Cities

An unusual art exhibition is currently being held in Volgograd. There, at it, the main art critics and creators are children from different countries. Volgograd Regional Children Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition based on the results of the international competition "About Myself and the World. In an Artist's Workshop." Among its participants are also children from Volgograd's sister-cities: Chinese Jilin, Qujing and Chengdu, Belarusian Vitebsk, and Tiraspol.

This year, the children were given an unusual task - to look into the workshops of great artists, sculptors and masters of applied art. Thus, kids were able to put themselves in their shoes: to understand what they were thinking about, what inspired them and how they saw the world around them.

What does the exhibition have in store for you?

The best drawings out of 1000 works from different parts of the world: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China and other countries.

A child's view of art: famous masters and entire eras through the prism of a child's imagination – in paintings, graphics, and unique handicrafts.

This is it is a real dialogue of generations, full of emotions, discoveries and heartfelt admiration for art.

The exhibition is held from August 8 to October 10, 2025 in the gallery's exhibition hall (400131, Volgograd, Sovetskaya St., 26). The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 17:30.

The results of the competition have already been announced, and soon we will introduce you to some of the winning works.
