Today's presentation is brought to you by Chen Zecong from Qujing University of Medicine & Health Sciences. Flip through the slides and read yet one more fascinating story!

Good morning, everyone. Today, we embark on a journey to the Niulan River, a hidden gem in the heart of Yunnan, China. This is not just a river of water; it is a river of stories, a river of culture, and a river that has shaped the very soul of the people who live by its banks. Let us explore the profound connection between this majestic river and the human spirit.

Let's begin our exploration from a single drop of water. Imagine its journey: starting high in the mountains, it meanders through peaceful farmlands, then bravely carves its way through breathtaking gorges, and finally flows with pride into the mighty Jincha River. This journey tells the story of the Niulan's diverse and dramatic landscape.

Every river has its guardians. Meet Mr. Li, a retired fisherman who became a protector of the river. Today, he watches the water grow clearer and the fish return. His story is a living testament to the river's remarkable rebirth.

Legends are the soul of a place. The Yi people tell of a divine golden buffalo that saved them from floods. This story reflects their deep respect for nature and their incredible resilience.

If you listen closely, you can hear the river's voice. It echoes in ancient poems and lives in the soulful folk songs of the Yi people. This is the sound of culture flowing through time.

The Niulan River is a cradle of diverse cultures. For the Yi, it is symbolized by fire; for the Miao, by the lusheng flute; and for the Buyei, by song. These symbols are the vibrant colors of the river's rich cultural tapestry.

Time flows like the river. On one side, we see the ancient stone bridge, witness to horse caravans. On the other, modern bridges hum with cars. This is a powerful dialogue between the past and the present.

The river also nurtures new dreams. Meet Xiao Wang, a young man who returned home to sell pomegranates online and build solar farms. His journey shows how 'clear waters and green mountains' are becoming 'invaluable assets'.

In the end, the river offers us profound wisdom. It does not speak in words, but through its ever-flowing current, it teaches us about resilience, change, and harmony with nature.

The story of the Niulan River is an open book, and a new chapter is waiting for you. We invite you to come, to experience, and to write your own story here. Welcome to the Niulan River.
